Something about the dust in the air makes the New Mexican sky unique and spectacular.
This is my third and largest sunset so far. I approached all three by blocking in with acrylic then painting the detail in oil. These move away from my Horizon series in that there is more realism and movement.
This painting is still a work in progress and I am starting one bigger, 48x24.
